We held only one dinner meeting in October due to the coffee rest stop over Columbus Day weekend, and Robin Strawzer spoke to us at that meeting on behalf of the Southern Tier Hospice. They serve 700 people a year, and their support is not limited to those in their final days-but. They also serve people in hospitals and nursing homes, those with cancer, liver & kidney failure, dementia, heart disease and pediatric care—from ages 3-102. They can use volunteers
for patient care (they provide training) medicine runs, flower deliveries, fund raising and office work to name a few. They also do health care management.
