Club News:
Due to the Veterans Day Holiday there was no dinner meeting on the 11th.

Scouting for Food collection for the BF Food Pantry was held on Saturday, November 9 at the Pantry. Fifteen Lions and several other volunteers counted and sorted over 3000 items were added to the pantry.

A work party of 5 Lions went to Camp Badger on Oct. 26, a very cold day to work on Cabin 5.

The ramp builders worked a total of 30 hrs and installed their 23rd ramp on Nov. 11 for an Elmira woman.

Lunch of spaghetti and meatballs was served at the Community Kitchen on Nov. 8th. 60 people were served a total of 105 meals to great acclaim.

Dinner meeting on the 25th was led very capably by 2nd VP Nicole Burt. Our speaker was Tess McKinley from 211 Helplin, a community directory of programs, services & volunteer opportunities which is funded by United Way. She explained the various forms of help given free and the over 700 volunteer jobs available as well the possibility of having a grant to help in our projects. Just call 211 or 1 800 346 2211

Board Action:
The Board meeting on Nov. 18 saw action on the following items. Donated $100.00 to the Food Bank to have paver installed with the Club’s name on the path through the Community Garden. Donated $300.00 to Lions International for disaster assistance to victims of recent tornados in Illinois.

Lion Donna was introduced to the new camera for vision screening in the schools. It is a much easier and faster device, and she was asked to bring to a meeting and tell about it at her convenience. The S T Retired Lions gave us their eyeglass collection

Reminder to all Lions. Lion Mary Ann needs help with set-up and clean up after a dinner meeting the Community Center.

Lion Nichole is hospitality chairman and need to be informed of sickness and injury so proper notice can be given to all. The monthly calendar of events can be found on the web-page.

Treasurers report. As of Nov. 18, 20313 there was a balance of $568.44 in the administration account and the

Community Service Account has $8377.80. Lions are reminded to pay their dues of $61.00 if have not done so already.
