Club News:
Our first speaker in September was Tom Geroy from the SPCA. He brought us up to date with some amazing statistics on their daily operations, as well as changes that they've had to make in the current fiscal climate. Later in the month we heard from Mike Cruzin, Deputy County Executive. Mike spoke about how the budget dollars are allocated, and recent changes to the sales tax distribution. Many compliments and thanks were expressed to Lion Bill Powell for his wonderful article and ramp building, which appeared in the September newsletter.

Board Action:
o Lion Lance Muir asked for volunteers to help with Lion Grace's yard sale on Sept. 20th, and he also announced the Costa's Fly-in BBQ scheduled for Sept 28th, where we typically loan the equipment and help set up.
o Lion Gary Bernhardt announced the Camp Badger work party scehduled for Oct 25th and provided some details on the work to be performed. He also announced the next blood drive, scheduled for Oct 7th.
o IPP Bob Byland reported that 80 dinners were served at the last Community Kitchen, with help from 5 or 6 helpers who served spaghetti and meatballs.
o Lion Don Williams reported on the Administrative Investment Fund, and the healthy returns it is earning. He also reported that there were no ramp projects scheduled at the moment, and that he was taking some extra lumber to Camp Badger.
o King Lion Audrey is circulating a sign-up sheet for speakers at dinner meetings.
o Ideas for Club Training, such as new member training, were discussed.
